I’m Changing My Blog Site! Goodbye WordPress!

Hi everyone!

I’m writing this to let you guys know that my new blog site will be at my domain: www.improvewithsoo.com.

If you like my content, please go ahead and sign up the email newsletter on there. This is because if you only follow it on wordpress.com, I don’t think you will be able to receive any updates on my content anymore since I am moving my site away from WordPress. For those who have already signed up on the email newsletter, you may want to sign up again just to make sure my new site can update you just in case.

I’m in the process of re-designing it and updating it to make sure it goes smoothly for readers like you guys. I’ll still continue to post content consistently every Tuesday and Thursday as promised but it will be all on that site from now on!

What’s the reason for leaving WordPress? Here are some reasons:

  • WordPress.com personally doesn’t give much flexibility when it comes to blogging tools unless you have the business version.
  • WordPress.com’s business version is way too pricey compared to other platforms.
  • I am truly passionate about blogging so I intend to do this for years. Maybe even decades. So the best way is to establish my own site rather than “rent” from WordPress.

I hope we can continue to stay with each other in our self improvement journey! Hopefully I will see you at www.improvewithsoo.com !

Your friend,

    1. Thank you!!! It’s a bit complicated process, at least for me it was because I had to transfer all the content from this site to my new site. It would’ve been easier if I had just originally started on my own platform!

For me, I looked for a blogging host (there’s plenty with different plans. I got mine on SiteGround). And then I linked it with WordPress.org. It is different from wordpress.com. Cheaper and more flexibility! I got mine for about $100 for one year? 🙂 Let me know if you have more questions! Happy to help
